Dear Participants, Supporters, and Friends of Operation Opera,
We regret to inform you that Operation Opera 2024 will be postponed to Summer 2025. This decision, made by our board of directors, comes in light of the recent, untimely passing of Glen Adsit, an integral part of our festival team as the resident conductor and director of artistic planning. Glen's extraordinary vision, dedication, and artistic leadership were pivotal in shaping the success and character of our festival, and his loss has left a deep void in our community.
In order to honor our commitment to the high standards we have set in past years, we believe it is in the best interest of the festival, its participants, and its audience to take this time to regroup. We are looking forward to returning next year, when we will be able to continue to honor the legacy and artistic excellence that Glen brought to Operation Opera.
For those who have already submitted applications and fees for this year's festival, please be assured that you will receive a full refund. Our team will reach out to you soon with details on this process.
We apologize for any inconvenience this decision may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support during this challenging time. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
Sincerely,
Operation Opera Board

Four Corners Ensemble is excited to announce our fourth season of Operation Opera, a unique initiative that invites composers, vocalists, and pianists to Sacramento, and centers around the performance and workshopping of contemporary operas and art songs.
Performances will include premieres of art songs and semi-staged settings of selected operas in Sacramento State's Capistrano Hall, where vocal and piano participants will perform alongside Hub New Music and members of the Four Corners Ensemble.
We are excited to offer programs for composers, vocalists, and collaborative pianists this season!
